Since our inception in 1960, Koperasi Tentera or KT has progressively transformed from a military thrift and loan co-operative into one of the nation’s leading credit co-operatives. As of 31 December 2017, it has been our privilege to serve over 154,933 members comprising Armed Forces personnel and civil servants working under the Ministry of Defence.
KT is aiming to become a fully-fledged Co-op Bank, registered with the Co-operative Commission of Malaysia (CCM or Suruhanjaya Koperasi Malaysia). KATMB Personal Loans with Guarantors
Koperasi Tentera Personal Loans with Guarantors specifications
Financing Amount : Maximum of RM200,000
Financing Tenure : From 6 months to a maximum of 120 months
Profit Rate : 5.65% per annum
Processing Period : 5 working days
Eligibility
- The total amount borrowed does not exceed 20 times the value of the applicant’s gross income (salary and fixed allowances) or does not exceed 60% of total deductions allowed, whichever is the lower of the two values.
- Applicants have paid an entry fee of RM10 (RM20 for re-entry), a minimum share capital of RM100 and 6 months fees totalling RM180.
Guarantor Terms
- For financing of up to RM15,000, one guarantor is required.
- For financing over RM15,001, two guarantors are required.
- Guarantors must be members of the co-operative and still be on active duty with the Malaysian Armed Forces.
- For Non-KEMENTAH Members, two guarantors are required and both have to be Armed Forces personnel.
Monthly Fee
- For financing of up to RM15,000 : RM30 per month
- For financing between RM15,001 – RM200,000 : RM40 per month
Service Charge
- New financing : RM10
- Overlap financing : RM50
- CTOS/CCRIS Check : RM5/RM7
- Stamp duty : RM5 per one thousand ringgit or part thereof

KATMB Personal Financing without Guarantors
Koperasi Tentera Personal Loans without Guarantors specifications
Financing Amount : Maximum of RM100,000
Financing Tenure : From 6 months to a maximum of 120 months
Profit Rate : 3.65% per annum
Processing Period : 5 working days
Eligibility
- Armed Forces personnel or civil servants employed by the Ministry of Defence, who have been confirmed in service and hold permanent positions.
- The applicant’s length of service must exceed the financing tenure or repayment period.
- Restricted to members who have held their membership for a period of five years or hold the rank of Lance Corporal and above or equivalent.
Conditions
The total amount borrowed does not exceed 20 times the value of the applicant’s gross income (salary and fixed allowances) or does not exceed 60% total deductions allowed, whichever is the lower of the two values.
Repayment will include an additional 0.85% charge per annum imposed on the approved financing to replace the guarantor (Al Kafalah concept).
Applicants have paid monthly fees for a minimum duration of 6 months (for new members) or 12 months (for re-entry).

Financing Amount : From RM600 to a maximum of RM20,000
Financing Tenure : From 6 months to a maximum of 96 months
Profit Rate : 3.65% per annum
Processing Period : 1 working day
Eligibility
The applicant’s length of service must exceed the financing tenure or repayment period.
Conditions
- Repayment will include an additional charge of 0.85% imposed per annum on the approved financing to replace the guarantor (Al Kafalah concept).
- Applicants must have paid monthly fees for a minimum duration of 6 months (for new members) or 12 months (for re-entry). Membership has to have been confirmed for the same period.
Service Charge
- New financing : RM10
- Overlap financing : RM20
- Stamp duty : RM5 per one thousand ringgit or part thereof.

Koperasi Tentera Personal Loans Fees Financing specifications
Financing Amount : From RM600 to a maximum of RM100,000 or 90% of the total accumulated fees (whichever is lower)
Financing Tenure : From 6 months to a maximum of 120 months
Profit Rate : 5.65% per annum
Processing Period : 3 working days
Conditions
- Cumulative fees collected is used as collateral (Ar-Rahnu concept).
- Applicants must have paid monthly fees for a minimum duration of 6 months (for new members) or 12 months (for re-entry). Membership has to have been confirmed for the same period.
