About KOASMARA
Koperasi Anak Sains MARA Berhad ASMARA KOASMARA is a strategic cooperative registered with the Commission of Cooperative Malaysia (SKM).
It was incorporated by alumni of MARA Junior Science College (MRSM), a special high school system developed by Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA) for the promising bumiputera students.
The MRSM system has produced more than 150,000 graduates since its establishment and today about 80 of them are listed as our members with vision to create a better business-networking platform in niche area such as international education, training and consultancy.
We are one of a handful of cooperatives in Malaysia with these unique focus as we wanted to be different, providing different angle of perspective into what a cooperative should and can do.
Inspired by one of our member whom is also Malaysia’s Astronaut, YBhg. Datuk Dr. Sheikh Muszaphar Shukor, we have decided to not limit ourselves into just doing what ordinary cooperatives are doing.
For us, the sky is not the limit!
Koperasi Anak Sains MARA Berhad or ASMARA / KOASMARA is a registered cooperative with Suruhanjaya Koperasi Malaysia. Koperasi Anak Sains MARA Berhad ASMARA KOASMARA membership is eligible only for former students, teachers and staff of MARA Junior Science College (MRSM) and their family members.
The MRSM education system has produced more than 200,000 graduates since its establishment in 1972. Members of the alumni are mostly professionals, consultants and corporate leaders. DBA DOCTORATE OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION
Designed for Senior Executives. It is a research-based program for students to advance their careers to the next level.
Euro programme
Education Overview
By having a Doctorate in Business Administration or DBA distinguishes you above the rest in the business world. DBA is different because it is truly based on your Industry Experience, not on Academic Theories.
You’re a successful Senior Executive who have a lingering idea, a burning opinion or a great concern that you want to intellectually challenge. By enrolling into the DBA program, you’re being guided by a set of processes to challenge, document and assess those thoughts, systematically.
Duration : 2 years
DBA is based on research that are totally related to your practical real world experience.
We will schedule you for face-to-face training workshops to write your Thesis Paper. In the workshops, you will learn the following :
- Research Philosophy
- Research Methods
- Research Proposal
- Proposal Defense
A Supervisor will assist you in developing your Thesis Paper. You will then submit the Thesis Paper to the University for their assessment.
Then present and defend your Thesis to a group of selected Senior Professors from the school. Once accepted and approved, CONGRATULATIONS ! You are now a credentialed DBA graduate.
Place of convocation is your choice. Either in Kuala Lumpur or Warsaw or Rome. Usually takes place in June or September.
Requirements
- An applicant may be admitted on the basis of evidence to suggest that he/she will be able to fulfil and benefit from the objectives of the programme and achieve the standard required for the award.
- Recognized Master Degree Holder (MBA).
- Graduates without Master’s Degree, who have been awarded another recognized Degree directly comparable to a Postgraduate Degree (equivalent to level 7 of studies).
- Level 7 of studies : Integrated Master’s Degree, for example Master of Engineering ( MEng ), Master of Arts ( MA ), Master of Science (MSc), Postgraduate Certificate, Postgraduate Certificate in Education ( PGCE ).

- check the research interests detailed on the relevant department to see if we can offer expert supervision in your chosen area of specialisation.
- prepare a brief research proposal to outline the research you would like to undertake including any potential supervisors that you have identified.

MBA MASTER OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION
An MBA is highly demanded in the business world. In many cases, an MBA degree is required for executive and senior positions.

Education Overview
- This program is suitable for working adults who wish to advance in their careers. Classes are held during weekends only.
- 8 compulsory taught modules within one year and the Master´s Thesis in the third semester.
- All modules has a test of understanding through presentations, essay, portfolio, group discussions with assessments. No examinations.
- The graduate receives an MBA and a Transcript of Records
- Duration of 3 semester. Eight (8) compulsory taught modules within one (1) year and the Master´s Thesis in the third (3rd) semester.
Requirements
Completed bachelor’s degree (or equivalent).
Long-term professional experience (work-based entry route) and via decision of special competence in the individual case.

PDE PROFESSIONAL DIPLOMA IN ENTREPRENEURSHIP
Unique modules and flexible programmes designed for people who want to understand components of successful businesses. This is the gateway to our PGDBA & other higher education programmes.
UK or EU programme
This programme is designed to produce entrepreneurs and executives. They are better prepared & ready to face market challenges from setting up their own businesses to taking on an entrepreneurial role in a corporation.
This is a part-time program. No examinations. Classes are held during weekends only. Students understanding are tested through individual or group work presentations and assignments.
Students will learn insights through our active Workshop-format classes. Our trainers are subject-matter experts – certified training professionals with at least 20 years experience.
The medium of instructions will be biilingual – English and Malay. If you require English training, please inform us.

ECEC DIPLOMA IN EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION & CARE
The Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care includes all the components of leadership roles such as a team room leader, coordinator, assistant director or director.
Australian programme
The Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care includes all the components of the Cert III. With this Diploma, graduates have the opportunity to take on leadership roles such as a team room leader, coordinator, assistant director or director.
Ultimately, having a Diploma gives you the opportunity to take on more responsibilities.
This is an intensive 50-weeks full time course (face-to-face and online). You will undergo 8 weeks internship in early childhood facilities. Optional graduation in Australia.
Education Overview
This is an Australian Recognised Qualifications from Cert III. All courses are certified to the standards set by the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) and Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF).
Students will be tutored face-to-face by professional Australian Trainers in our facilities for 10 weeks and 40 weeks online.
Because of COVID 19 situation, this course is NOW FULLY ONLINE LIVE & PRERECORDED until further notice.
There are 8 modules altogether. 8 weeks will be an internship in the industry.
Assessments are divided into 3 components:
- Knowledge assessments
- Skills assessments completed outside of the vocational workplace, e.g. projects, role plays, case studies, etc.
- Skills assessments completed within the vocational workplace or during internships
Requirement
- 18 years or older.
- Passed SPM with pass in English.
- Have sound language skills in english.
- Basic computer skills
- Undertake a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) Evaluation.
- Admission to the course is only upon passing the LLN evaluation.
- 2 months English Training will be provided at cost before joining our June or January intake, if needed.
